Spa

The treatments available are all designed to help guests relax and rejuvenate after a hard day exploring the wilds and range from Hot Stones to ease sore backs, to the signature Uma Ritual for pure relaxation.

Room Description

With 40 rooms that take full advantage of the surrounding vistas guests will not be disappointed, and while outside the conditions can be harsh, the inside is warm and comforting. Built using locally sourced stone and wood to create a calm and tranquil atmosphere, every room is designed to make the most of the large picture windows. The accommodation ranges from Standard rooms which have bathtubs by the windows to Suites that are arranged over two levels and have cosy living rooms on the second floor.

Activities

Situated on the edge of this UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve there is an abundance of things to see and do. All explorations are led by highly qualified and knowledgeable guides and include horse trekking, hiking and jeep excursions. For example, the arduous hike to the base of the Torres del Paine will leave those who have made the trek with memories that will last a lifetime and the pictures to prove it. For those looking for special interest activities such as mountaineering, glacier walking, photography safaris or bird watching then the hotel is able to assist either in advance or on arrival.

Dining

The main dining room is an impressive wood panelled room with an undulating wave like ceiling. Guests are encouraged to mingle with other travellers in the bar and share tales of the day’s events before settling down to enjoy dinner. The menu changes each day and is fixed, offering a good variety with locally sourced ingredients where possible, but guests are able to put in special requests the night before and the quality is excellent given the remote location.
